Mistake

(From Grey's Anatomy S1E06)

We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore, until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin meant.

That knowing is better than wondering.
That waking is better than sleeping.

And that even the biggest failure, even the worst, most intractable mistake beats the hell out of never trying.



我們常常把今天的事情拖延到明天,直到不能再拖,直到自己嚐到苦頭,才了解富蘭克林(備註)的話。
但,了解總比疑惑好;行動總比沈睡好。
即使是個錯誤,甚至最糟糕最嚴重的錯誤,也比從未嘗試過好。


(備註)Benjamin Franklin said "Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today."



可是,如果...明知道是錯誤,為什麼還要做?
